Announcement May 24, 2020 – Youth 3-on-3 League & Pond Hockey Suspended

As you are all aware, our Youth 3on3 League & Pond Hockey Program were both set to begin last month, only to be interrupted with the sudden, an unexpected shutdown of our facility in response to the measures and directives by Provincial Health Authorities.

By that point, we had already invested tremendous time and money developing the 3 on 3 Spring League Program. Advertising dollars had been spent, team rosters and season schedules coordinated, jerseys purchased and printed, League sections of our website built, even trophies & medals for our League Tourney had been finalized! Not to mention, all your kids were very excited and looking forward to another fun season of 3 on 3 play. It broke our hearts to have to postpone the program, knowing they were missing getting out on the ice and battling with their friends!

We have appreciated your support and patience as we held onto hope that we would be given a green light to re-schedule our League & Pond Hockey before Summer. We have stayed in contact with Regional Health Authorities and explored any possible ways that would allow us to play games. But, as of right now, we continue to have no specific direction or timelines from authorities as to when competitive hockey games will be permitted. For this reason, we are disappointed to announce, that our 2020 Youth Spring 3 on 3 League is suspended until such time the Province will allow games to be played. Perhaps we will be able to put on our first Fall 3 on 3 League. Stay tuned to our website in the months to come.

If your account with us, is in good standing, we will be issuing full credits to your UHC account for the amount of the registration fee you paid. We will also be waiving the jersey and administration fee but will still provide your child his/her *customized jersey (a “no-contact” pickup time will be scheduled for you to pick up your jersey). *jersey applies to League only.

Your credit will be good for one year (until May 31, 2021) and may be used towards:

  • private ice rentals (15% discount)  or
  • future UHC Programs or Leagues. If you choose to apply your credit to a League or Pond Hockey Program, you will receive front-of-the-line registration, and will not be subject to an increase in registration fees for the Spring 2021 season.

For “Team Registrations”, the person who registered the team will need to contact the General Manager to advise how the credit is to be distributed.

We know how eager kids are to get back to hockey. If you are wanting to use your credit towards ice rentals for this Spring & Summer season, please contact the General Manager by email at monica@ultimatehockeycentre.ca as soon as possible, as ice times fill up quickly. Please ensure you read the Step 1 Safety Protocols & Policies on our website to ensure you can meet the criteria prior to booking.

Our building remains closed to the public. It is open for access to the ice area only for those with a reserved ice time. Our Administration & Booking Office are currently located off-site and will be managing communication via email only. Thank you again for your continued support of the Ultimate Hockey Centre. We look forward to seeing you soon!
